Through its direct contribution to the development of the official European standard for somatropin (growth hormone) in the European Pharmacopoeia, CinnaGen has joined the ranks of key global influencers in pharmaceutical standard-setting.

The European Pharmacopoeia is one of the world’s most recognized pharmaceutical references, defining how medicines must be tested and controlled to ensure their safety, effectiveness, and reliability.

Europe’s Confidence in CinnaGen’s Quality System

This collaboration began when CinnaGen’s quality control and quality assurance methods for CinnaTropin were recognized as precise, validated, and dependable, so robust that they were adopted as reference models for drafting Europe’s official standard.

Since 2023, CinnaGen has been an official member of the European Pharmacopoeia’s Committee on Biological Products and Monoclonal Antibodies, playing an active role in shaping the future standards of advanced medicines.

Official Registration of CinnaGen as a Partner in European Documents

CinnaGen’s contribution has been formally recorded in BSP173 (Phase II of the Biological Standardisation Programme), a report dedicated to the calibration of the European reference standard for somatropin.

In this official European document, the name “P. Maghzi, CinnaGen Co., Iran” appears among the list of collaborating laboratories, a clear sign of Iran’s scientific presence at the highest levels of global pharmaceutical standardization.

A Sustained Role in the Future of Global Standards

In the official EDQM report, CinnaGen is identified as one of the reference laboratories responsible for performing and validating tests, underscoring that this collaboration is not a one-off achievement.

This international milestone is the result of years of CinnaGen’s investment in knowledge, precision, and a world-class quality system, a journey that has now placed the name CinnaGen alongside the world’s leading pharmaceutical players.
