August 22nd has always been a memorable day in Iran, the anniversary of Avicenna's birthday and physician’s day.
Avicenna (980-1037) was one the most significant physicians and philosophers of the Islamic golden age. He wrote 50 books in the field of medicine which the most reputable one is “The Canon of Medicine” .
This treasure became a standard medical text at many medieval universities and was known as the bible the bible by the late 1650.
Following his path, CinnaGen’s name has been derived from his name in addition to word “gen” ( Gene in English ) which refers to our field of activities.
