of Chloride level in biological fluids such as serum,
plasma, and urine. Chloride measurement is accomplished
by a colorimetric method.
Chloride in biological fluids reacts with Hg[SCN]2 at
acidic pH to produce a reddish-brown colored complex.
The optical density of produced color has a direct relationship
with Chloride concentration in the solution.
